Food Pantry Fun

Our Sunday school class once a month goes to a food pantry (supported by the church) to load up bags of groceries and give them to families that come in for assistance. We thought it would be such a great experience for Keegan so they came along with us.

Our friends, The Keplers, brought their two boys Billy (the one in green) and Gavin (the one in red). I promise that we did not plan for them to match! :)

Keegan was pretending to take notes and writing down what he saw on the cans. So cute!

I can not wait for our family to experience more things like this as they get older. Even though there were more cans misplaced than being put in the right spot, I hope that God will bless our efforts in raising our children to serve.

On a Roll....

After a good blog fast...I am back. It has been extremely hard but worth it. It is amazing how your life seems more at ease when you get your priorities back in order. My time with the Lord has been amazing and the blog break was very timely. So, I will catch up on my life in the past twenty nine days a little at a time.

But for a start...we got back a week and a half ago from our vacation in Hunt, Texas. We come up in our driveway and see this huge pile of wet toilet paper on our front porch and a few caught pieces of toilet paper in our magnolia tree.

So, we got rolled...wrapped...whatever you want to call it. Rolled is what you call it in Mansfield. Wrapped it what you call it in Houston. My first group of sophomore girls set me straight on this issue. Mainly Miss Heather who said that if I said that I rolled...it meant that I was getting a little high...and not the distance of the thrown toilet paper.

Back to my wet pile of toilet paper. Some nice neighbor of mine took it all down for us and left the evidence for us to sort out. Either some twerps got the wrong house, an old student of mine found where I lived (only a handful know), or one of our friends felt like being a teenager again. Luckily whoever did it got less than a 6 pack and did not have a strong arm. (or they got caught)

If anyone has information on this "rolling"...please step forward. :)

Please pray for baby Abigail...

Hello friends, I know that I am on a blogging fast right now, but wanted to put word out to pray for a fellow blogger. My neighbor, Merry Lynn's best friend Stacie needs to be lifted up for her unborn baby Abigail's life. She already has lost her twin sister Madison due to Twin to Twin Transfusion, even after a surgery that went well to correct it. Stacie is 26 weeks along and join me and others as we pray for sweet Abigail to make it to term and to be healthy.

God, we BELIEVE that you can sustain Abigail in the womb and bring her to term. Give peace to Stacie and Brian as they continue this journey and heal their hearts after their loss of sweet Madison. We know your ways are sometimes not made known to us, but we trust you.

A Divided Heart

You know when the Lord is trying to get your attention. It is not vague or something you can question. When is really trying to make a point he will address it in every message you hear at church and in your quiet times. Even through conversations with other people, if they realize it or not.

For the past few weeks I have noticed that a lot of my time is spent on the computer. Every few minutes alone I get and even when the boys are awake, I surf everyone's blog and think of my next postings. At church a couple weeks ago, our pastor talked about throwing off things that can hinder your relationship with God. He made a point to say that those things can be "good". Immediately, my mind when straight to my internet habit. I said to myself.."I can not give this up because this is my community with people. It keeps me going being by myself in the day." He said, "I alone fulfill." In my quiet time today it asked, "What would have to change in your life for you to experience more times of "treasuring" your blessing, and "meditating" on the goodness of God?" Okay Lord, I know. I know.

As I have been pondering on this the last couple of weeks, my mind has even drifted to giving my blog a makeover. So I found myself spending hours on figuring out how to do it. Wow, I can not believe that I was allowing this to happen again! Dern! I think sometimes God should hit us over the head with a 2 by 4.

So all this to say, I wasn't going to post this because obviously it looks like I did not learn a lesson. But, wanted to keep myself in check. So, until I can get my habit under control, it may look like I dropped off the map. I love yall and I will catch ya later!

Jack Jack-7 Months

I can not believe that he is 7 months old! What in the world? He is the most easy going baby and smiles at everything. He loves to laugh, jump, bother Keegan, grab for our faces, play in his exersaucer, rock back and forth on all fours, and drink every last bit of his bottle. He still hates solid food of any kind, dirty diapers, being sleepy, being left alone (our social butterfly) and teething. I don't blame him for that! His face completely lights up when you enter the room and it erases every stressful thing that has been going on in the day. He makes me happy and I am so in love with that little bald man! Happy Mirthday Jack!

The Thoughts in My Head

* My house has been bombarded with flies. I have killed at least 3 and who knows how many Jonathan has killed. I woke up the other night around midnight with Jonathan swatting at our blinds. I thought he was sleep walking and told him to get back in bed. Then I heard the annoying buzz of a fly trapped in between blinds and the reason that my husband could not sleep for 2 hours. How I slept through it...I have no idea. Tylenol PM maybe?

*I went to see Mamma Mia the on Tuesday with a group of ladies from church. I had no idea how fun that movie was going to be. I have to say that I am a little embarrassed for Pierce Brosnan. The guy can not sing...but at least he looked good trying.

*Jack is on day 12 on sleeping 11-12 hours a night. I am knocking on wood right now. He is also trying so very hard to crawl.

*Today we went and visited Granny J. I went upstairs to put get Jack out of bed from his nap and came down to find them both asleep on the floor. So cute. Then I went and visited Linda Sproule today at First Baptist unannounced. It was like I never left. She busted out the bubbles for Keegan and it made him very happy.

*My friend Lesly, had her third boy yesterday. Happy Birthday Ethan! This is her third in less than 4 years. I went and visited her last night and got a little baby fever. It disappeared at 6am this morning. :)

*I just found a new pediatrician out here under the Texas Children's umbrella and Keegan really liked him. Yesterday I got a letter that said that they no longer accept our insurance! UGH! So, now I have to transfer the files....AGAIN...and worst...find a new doc. Almost every doctor out here is under Texas Childrens. Anyone know of a good doc in the northwest part of town?

*My First Baptist friends Bunko starts on MONDAY!!! Oh I am so excited to see all of them again!

*We have a huge whole in our foyer ceiling from a air conditioner leak. You have to love old houses. So does my neighbor, Merry Lynn.

*Really cute pics of Jack coming soon! :)
