So...I have been tagged by Becky Kiser for a Book Meme.
Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.
The nearest book to me right at this second is my husband's bible. I almost cheated and wanted to find another book with a good spiritual application, some helpful toddler advice, etc, but instead I get a good 'ol list of biblical names. Which by the way...I think Zurishaddai is my favorite...bless his heart. What I thought was interesting was the last sentence. After reading this long list, I think I would be playing hookie for that congregation gathering.
Numbers 1: 5-18
These are the names of the men who are to assist you: from Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur; from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai; from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;from Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar; from Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon; from the sons of Joseph:from Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur; from Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;from Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai; from Asher, Pagiel son of Ocran;from Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel; from Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan. These were chosen from the congregation, leaders of their fathers' tribes, heads of the divisions in Israel. Then Moses and Aaron took these men who and been mentioned by name, and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they recited their ancestry by families by their father's houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, each one individually.
