Welcome Brianna Arenal!
If one could not get enough of one baby love in a week...try two!! Exactly one week from the birth of one niece, another one arrives! Brianna moved slow at first giving her mama hard contractions for 8 solid hours, but then surprised the world when she decided that she wanted to come out and play. Try dilating from a 3 to a having a baby in 30 minutes. I have never seen such a bright-eyed baby with so many facial expressions! She is such a cutie and while we hoped for a full head of red hair like her mama, her brown hair is fabulous. Keegan is getting a tad jealous that his cousins have more hair than him..but I reassure him that to be bald is beautiful. I look forward to the many play dates and of course becoming her favorite aunt. Well...okay...one of them! Brad and Mae have been such good babysitters and they are going to be incredible parents. (I owe them many date nights!) They are naturals!

Welcome Baby Jaykob!
Jerrell and Kay are now proud parents of Jaykob Samuel. Born with curly brown hair and beautiful lips he is going to be a looker! What a joy to see a new life enter into this world to incredible people who are going to raise a godly son. Keegan no longer is the youngest resident at Bayou Woods, but he is proud to have a friend to play with!

Welcome Baby Leif

Nick and Jada Shock had their first boy yesterday morning. Leif Jarren Shock. Nick is one proud man that he now has a son with who he can play football, go hunting, and wrestle with! Cell phones can create a problem when there is not much strength on one end or another. When Jada called me yesterday morning with the news I thought she said his name was "Leis". As my friend Christine asked, "As in Buy or Lease?" I said yes...still a little confused. Her husband Zach said... poor guy, any time he is written a letter it will start out saying, "Dear Leis". (dear lease) It was all cleared up when we found out his name was really "Leif". It is a Scandanavian name that means "desendent" or "beloved". Christine and I went to see him last night and he was so tiny! Even at 8 pounds, I had to adjust my vision because Keegan now seems like a giant, all 17 pounds of him. It was very nostalgic to be in that hospital room seeing the glow on their face just having witnessed the amazing miracle of birth. God shows his creativity in the design of every baby. Welcome Baby Leif!
